At around eight o’clock in the morning, Moira awoke with a smile on her face. She knew who she was going to see today. Yes, she was going to see that stable boy, but more importantly, Kimmy, the girl who had, for some reason, mesmerized Moira in that small store the day before, would be spending the day with her. And that with that thought in her head, Moira sprung from her bed, wearing only a silken nightgown. She walked over to her closet, and looked for what she would wear today. It was a hard decision for her, even though she would be wearing it to the shop, before changing into some of Kimmy’s clothes, it was important to her that she look her best when she saw Kimmy.
Deciding on a deep purple dress with lilac lace around the edges of the sleeves, which did not go past the shoulders, and at the bottom of the dress, which went down to the ankles. After dressing, Moira brushed her hair for a few minutes, getting any of the tangles and knots, which had developed through the night, out. She then laced up a pair of black leather shoes that reached up to her knees, and then left her house for Kimmy’s shop at around half past ten in the morning.
It did not take her long to get to the shop, only about a quarter of an hour, and it was a much nicer walk in the morning than it had been the night before. Moira stood in front of the door to the shop, anxious. She was almost giddy with excitement over the prospect of getting to see Kimmy again, and took a few minutes to calm herself before making herself known. After looking at her watch, it read ten fifty eight in the morning, she knocked on the door, saying, “Hello, Kimmy. It’s me, Moira. We are still going to Sir Alex’s today, aren’t we?”

Once Moira knocked on the door, the little store keeper came rushing to the door to let her friend in. "Good morning Ms. Westenra." Kimmy greeted her as she let the wealthy girl come in. Kimmy took one look at Morira's dress and her heart pounded as her mouth fell, slightly, open. 'She looks so gorgeous.' She thought, 'She must be one of the most luckiest girls I have ever met. How many dresses like that does she own? Oh just wearing a thing like that for a day--Makes me light headed just thinking about it.'
Kimmy quickly came back down to earth and led Moira to the upstairs where her and her father lived. She pulled out a chair for her visitor to sit on in their small living room. There were so many pictures of Kimmy on the walls. Pictures from when she was a baby and just a toddler.
So once her friend had a chair, Kimmy went back to her room to pull out some hand-made dresses and aporans. In her room, it was pretty normal. There were no windows and it was a small room. But inside her room was a cot, a small end-table that had a small broken mirror and a comb which was used as her vanity, and there was a big old dresser which held all of her clothes.
Kimmy took great care in the clothes she made. They were ment to get dirty so she had no problem giving one to Moira to use. Problem was, she didn't know what color Moira would like. So, Kimmy covered her eyes and picked one out at random. Her finger landed on a dark green short sleve-dress. There was a tan apoaran that came with it. And there was a little design on the front of a daisy.
The store keeper came back with the dress in her hands. "Here you are Ms. Westenra." Kimmy said in a most cheery voice, "I hope it is to your liking. You can change in my room. Its down that little hall there and to the left."

“And a good morning to you, Kimmy,” Moira responded as she walked through the door to the small shop. She thought to give the girl a hug as a greeting, but was too nervous to do anything, and so she offered nothing more than her vocal greeting. Kimmy, not long after letting her into the shop, took guided her upstairs, where she saw a great number of photographs of the girl, never in her life had Moira seen so many photographs, and entered into the living room, taking the chair that Kimmy offered, with a friendly, “Thank you.”
Moira watched her friend go pick out an outfit for her, wondering what she would be wearing. Probably something like Kimmy wore everyday in the shop, something not dissimilar to what Moira had worn when she was younger. She was not looking forward to wearing anything of the sort; she had gotten accustomed to wearing finer cloths and had no desire to dress in coarser fabrics. But Moira was more than willing to do this in order to spend more time with the shopkeeper.
When Kimmy returned, with the dark green short-sleeve dress, Moira took it from her, saying, “Oh, it will do just fine, Kimmy. Thank you very much for helping me with all of this.” And after speaking, she stood up and began walking down the hall towards the room in which she would change, but stopped about halfway down the hallway, turned towards Kimmy, and spoke to her again, with a smile on her face, “And Kimmy, you don’t have to call me Miss Westenra. You can just call me Moira, or whatever you would like.”
In Kimmy’s room, she took off her own dress, laying it on the bed, put on the dark green dress, it was not as bad as she had thought it would be, and picked up her own dress. Moira walked out of the bedroom, with her dress in her arms, and into the living room. “I’m ready to leave as soon as you are, Kimmy. And, um, where should I place my dress while we’re out?”

Kimmy blinked as she heard Moira tell her it was alright not to call her, "Ms. Westenra." The store keeper had never been told this before. Well, only her father told her to just call him "Dad" or "Pop" but that was about it. So she was taken aback but nodded her head as she watched the wealthy girl go into her room.
As her firend got changed, Kimmy couldn't help but stare off into outter space. 'How will today turn out? Will Sir Alex be there once we arive?' She thought, 'What about the lunch I packed...I have no idea what they like......Oh well, I'll just save what they don't eat.' She turned her head back to Moira as she came back in wearing the hand-made dress. "Oh--Ms--I mean, Moira...You look so adorable." Kimmy was stuck in her awe as she gapped at the rich young lady. Then she noticed how rude that must have sounded. "I mean," She started again, "You are always adorable but--This just proves it even more."
She then rushed over to the table and grabbed a rather big picnic basket. "I thought it would be nice to bring something to eat. So we could all have lunch together. you know?" She quickly blew a strand of hair from her face and walked over to Moira. She had her left hand on the basket and the right holding her friend's. "Shall we go?"
So the two stepped outside and started to walk down the street, towards the barn which they would meet Alex.

Moira blushed and began to smile as Kimmy complemented her on her appearances. “Thank you very much Kimmy. But I’m sure that I don’t look half as good as you do in these cloths. I mean, you look so perfect in the dresses you make.” She thought of walking over to the girl, but just stood there, moving her feet about a little, and put her hands behind her back. She was too nervous and embarrassed to really act on any of her desires, and just stood there, silent, as Kimmy grabbed the picnic basket.
She followed the shopkeeper out of the street, her hand just a little bit in front of her, in her friend’s. It was more than she could have hoped for, being held, even if it was just her hand. She followed the girl, savoring the closeness she saw between her and Kimmy. While Moira followed her friend through the streets, she daydreamed about Kimmy; her imagination able to delve to new depths after feeling the shopkeeper’s hand, what it was like to be touched by the beautiful girl. Her mind was racing with thoughts of the girl, her senses were aflame with this innocent touch, and she was blind to anything else, as nothing else mattered to her; Moira did not even notice when they reached the stables.

Alex gently combed one of her sister's hair. She quickly did the silky black locks up into an adorable little bun then sent the girl on her way. Alex stood and studied herself in the mirror. Her dark hair was tied back in a perfect que. Her piercing emerald eyes shone brightly. Her tanned skin was complimented by the dark over coat she wore. She straightened the equally dark waistcoat and started out toward her beautiful horses.
Her father was in bed. He was feeling quite ill lately. Alex did most of the work herself now. She didn't mind. She had grown quite used to the labor a long time ago. Her body had become strong and muscular. She opened Marco's pen and gently stroked the giant beast. He lifted his nose to press against her palm. She then went to the kittens. They seemed comfortable in their new hay home. She smiled happily and went back in the house. She came out with some milk. The kittens lapped it up happily. Alex fed a carrot to the patient Marco who put up with the kittens all night.
She went to each holding and gave attention to each horse. She finally came to her favorite steed. FireStar. The horse was strong and full of energy. She had tamed only to Alex's hand. Alex opened a gate and mounted the tall chestnut mare. The horse ran out to freedom. Alex allowed her those few moments of fun before beginning to control the horse. She had the beautiful beast jump over short fences, zigzag through barrels and go around the corral a couple of times.

Once at the stables, Kimmy tossed her head around. "Where should we go now?" She asked outloud. She didn't plan on Alex not being there. Kimmy then heard a horse near by. "Come with me Moira." She said calmly as they both walked closer to the stables. The young store keeper poked her head in and saw Alex with a horse that was doing jumps and whatnot. She helped Moira in and still held her hand. She didn't want her to get too scared. So with that, Kimmy aproached Alex.
"Hello Sir Alex." Kimmy said once she was in ear shot of the barn girl, "Did we come at a bad time? I brought some food with us." She then lifted the picnic basket a tad. The store keeper took her gaze to the horse running around. Kimmy thought about what it would be like to be a horse. Such long legs. They could probably run for miles and miles on end. Kimmy wondered why couldn't she have been born a horse? That way she could run far far away from this town. As she thought, her hand tightend just alittle as she held Moira's warm hand.

The absence of the boy excited Moira, just a little bit. She thought that perhaps the boy would be busy or out today, and the two of them, Kimmy and Moira, would spend the day with only each other; it would be divine. Her imagination was broken by Kimmy’s question, to which she answered, “I haven’t the slightest of ideas,” only to have the answer be, “Come with me, Moira.” Moira followed behind the shopkeeper, keeping hold of her hand; she tried to return to the world of her mind, and even though she was unable to reenter the imaginary, she hoped it would come to pass in real life.
Moira curtsied as Kimmy greeted the boy, though it was awkward doing so while still holding Kimmy’s hand. She added her greeting, “Hello, sir,” after Kimmy had finished speaking. Her hand tightened on Kimmy’s, a mixture of not wanting her to let go and a fear of that great beast that stood before her. She quickly relaxed her grip, not wanting to hurt Kimmy; she looked at the girl, but said nothing. Her gaze then returned to the boy they were visiting, then fell. “Thank you for receiving us today, Sir Alex,” there was a little bit of a quiver to her voice, before turning to Kimmy, but decided to remain silent.

Alex smiled sweetly. "Aye, it is an equal pleasure to have such beautiful ladies visiting my humble stables." She chuckled softly and hopped down from the beast. She looked at the basket and brightened, "Ah. How wonderful! A picnic would be nice. Let me put Fire Star back. I'll need to let Jack out. He really is nothing to be afraid of. Merely a gentle giant. You may ride him if you wish. We'll meet under the tree in the left pasture." Alex pointed to a soft, green area, bowed and led the wild horse back to his stable and let Jack free. The huge, old horse walked calmly into the pasture, nibbling as it went. The kittens followed behind Alex as she made her way over to the ladies.
"You two must be very close." She patted jack who had come to nudge her. "It is quite lovely to see such close friends holding hands in this way." Alex smile gentled. "You both make such a pretty picture. If only I had a talent for painting. Alas, I must be content with my ability to train horses." he huffed, as if he were offended that Alex might want to do something other than take care of him. She laughed lightly. "Not that I would ever trade it for anything in the world." She turned back to Kimmy and Moira. "Would you be interesting in petting him. I swear that he would never harm anything other than a fly." She scratched Jack's nose.

Kimmy looked at the horse in awe. She very much wished she could run and jump like this animal could. He mind started to wonder but then she quickly brought herself back down the earth and nodded her head to Alex. "Oh, that would be fine Alex Sir." She said as she turned to Moira, a smile on her face. "It is funny, I only met Moira yesterday but, it feels we have been friends for awhile." Still holding her hand, she turned back to Alex. "We'll meet you under the tree then." With that, the two girls made their way to the tree Alex had pointed out.
Once at the tree, Kimmy let go of Moira's hand in order to put the basket down and set the table cloth out and the food as well. It only took her a moment to do all this. She then pocked her head up to her friend. "Are you alright?" She asked, "Sir Alex said that the horse wouldn't hurt us. But if you are still afraid, its ok. As long as Sir Alex is here to protect us, we should both be fine, right?" She placed the sandwhiches out and along with a salad and some lemonade and little glass cups. "Is this food alright with you Moira?"

Moira took a step back as the boy walked the horse in front of them. Despite what she said, and even what she knew of horses, there was no reason to be afraid of the animal, but she was. She nodded her head as Alex spoke, but did not really focus on his words, just wanted to leave. It was not only the horse that made her nervous, but the boy also had an unnerving affect on her. He seemed nice enough, but she did not like the way that Alex looked at her and Kimmy; it reminded her of how she looked at the shopkeeper, and Moira had no intentions to satiate the boy’s desires. Her attention was brought back to the events at had as Kimmy began to speak, about their friendship. Moira looked over at Kimmy, and agreed with her, “Yes, I feel a deep connection with Kimmy. I can’t really explain it, but this all just feels natural.” And after that Moira allowed Kimmy to guide her away from the stables, waving a temporary good-bye to the stable boy.
As Kimmy laid out the picnic, Moira stood there, silently watching the shopkeeper do her work. After being questioned about her fear, Moira answered the girl, her voice somewhat quiet and full of emotion and concern, “Thank you for all of your concern, Kimmy. It’s nice to have someone care so much about my feelings. And though I am afraid, I want you to enjoy yourself. I don’t want you worrying about me the whole time we’re here.” And after Kimmy asked if the food was alright, Moira gave a small laugh, covering her mouth, “It will be fine. And you must stop worrying. I’ll be happy no matter what you do.”
